The department runs routine histopathology services for the hospital. This includes the general histopathology services, as well as more specialized histochemistry and immunohistochemistry. Cytopathology services like body fluid cytology, cervical smears (Pap Smear) and sputum cytology also undertaken. The pathologists perform fine needle aspiration [FNAC] procedure upon request and report the same. The hospital based clinical pathology section deals with routine clinical pathology including peripheral smear study, bone marrow aspiration study. Facilities available in the department

The photographs of the exhibited specimens with labels and legends mounted adjacent to corresponding specimens is an innovative method of learning.
