The Department is manned by well qualified ophthalmic surgeons providing the outpatient and inpatient services. It routinely conducts camps in the rural areas for early detection of blinding disorders in general population and refractive errors, squint and deficiency disorders in school children. Cataract surgeries are done free of cost with funds provided by sponsors.

• Modern equipments like computerized refractometer, operating microscope, slit lamps with applanation tonometer, keratometer, ultrasonic scan for biometry are available.
• Well equipped operating theatre and microsurgical instruments
• Sutureless cataract surgery, glaucoma procedure, occuloplasty and trauma care are undertaken
