The department has an exclusive library with many of the recent textbooks, the back volumes of all the indexed national and international orthodontic journals, library and main dissertation copies of all the alumni postgraduate students since 1999. The prize winning papers and posters are preserved for documentation purposes. The department caters to the orthodontic need of about 10,992 patients annually with approximately 3,138 new cases and 7,854 old cases every year.

The department boasts of professional experts and visitors from far, near and abroad who have acknowledged and commented on the exemplary work turned out by the students and the staffs. The academic excellence of the department is revealed by the fact that the faculty members of this department have been invited for guest lectures at national and international level. The scientific deliberations by the post graduates and the undergraduates is a hall mark of this ISO 9001-2000 certified department. The department is well equipped with 38 Dental units with all accessories, Orthodontic software imaging program (Quick ceph 2000), micromotors, fixators, cephalometric tracing tables, Vacuum forming machine, sterilizing units, model trimmers, soldering units, table top welders, turrets, state of art consumable orthodontic materials with latest innovations, professional photographic units for orthodontic photography, scaler units, ultrasonic cleansers, poly clave, autoclave, typodont, fixator, contra angle hand piece, soldering torch and light curing /LED unit, personal computer equipped with internet facilities for each post graduate student.
